Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Longreach Aviation Resources, a business operated by Nexgen Aviation Training, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (Delaware file number 4558894) (“Longreach”, “we”, “us”), collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information. It applies to information collected through www.longreach.aero, by email, and in the course of our pilot recruitment and placement services.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). For visitors and candidates who reside in Delaware, USA, this policy also contains the disclosures required by the Delaware Online Privacy and Protection Act (6 Del. C. § 1205C) and describes the rights available under the Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act where it applies.

Information we collect

We collect the personal information reasonably necessary to assess candidates and place them with airline clients. This includes:

  • Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, email addresses and Skype or other messaging details.
  • Career and qualification details: current position and employer, qualifications, licence types and licensing authorities, ICAO English language level, flying hours by type and role, aircraft types flown, education, employment history and your CV.
  • Information you choose to give us: comments, correspondence and any other information you include in your registration, CV or emails.
  • Website technical information: basic data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which our hosting and security providers process to deliver and protect the website.

Sensitive information

Some information we collect is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act, and we only collect it with your consent and where it is reasonably necessary for our recruitment services. This includes:

  • Health information: whether you hold a Class 1 medical certificate and any medical restrictions on that certificate.
  • Criminal record information: where an airline client requires it, the results of police or background checks as part of candidate pre-screening.

We do not ask for information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation or similar matters. Please do not include such information in your CV or correspondence unless it is relevant to an application.

How we collect information

  • Directly from you, when you complete our online registration form, upload a CV, email us or speak with us.
  • From third parties, with your knowledge, such as referees, licensing authorities, airline clients reporting on assessment or interview outcomes, and background check providers.
  • Automatically, through our website hosting and security services, when you visit the website.

If you do not provide the information we request, we may not be able to assess your application or put you forward for positions.

Why we collect, use and disclose information

  • To assess your suitability for pilot positions and match you with opportunities.
  • To put your application forward to airline clients and prospective employers, and to manage interviews, assessments and onboarding.
  • To verify your licences, flying experience, medical status, employment history and background where required by a client.
  • To provide crew support services you request, such as simulator preparation, relocation, insurance or accommodation assistance.
  • To communicate with you about your application and about other positions that may suit you.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use or disclose your information for any other purpose unless you consent, you would reasonably expect it, or it is required or authorised by law.

Who we share information with

  • Airline clients and prospective employers, including airlines based in Japan, to whom we submit your application. We only send your details to a specific airline with your agreement for that application.
  • Training partners, such as Nexgen Aviation Training, where you engage simulator preparation or training services.
  • Service providers that host and operate our systems, including our website host and its security and content-delivery providers, our email provider and our form software. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
  • Background check and verification providers, where a client requires checks.
  • Government authorities, regulators and professional advisers, where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Overseas disclosure

Because we place pilots with airlines in Asia, your information is likely to be disclosed overseas. The countries most likely to receive it are:

  • Japan: airline clients and prospective employers.
  • Other countries in Asia: airline clients for specific positions you apply for.
  • United States: our website and form data are hosted on servers in the United States, with content delivery and security services provided globally.
  • United States, Canada and other countries: where our email provider stores and processes email.

We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs, including only providing it for the purpose of your application. Privacy laws in some of these countries differ from Australian law.

Storage, security and retention

We store personal information electronically with reputable hosting and email providers, using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls limited to staff who need it. CVs uploaded through our form are stored on our website host and delivered to our recruitment inbox.

We keep candidate information for as long as it is needed for recruitment and placement purposes, and generally no longer than three years after our last contact with you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Automated decision-making

We do not use computer programs to make, or substantially assist in making, decisions about candidates that significantly affect their rights or interests. All assessments of candidates are made by our staff.

Cookies, tracking and “Do Not Track”

Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to function and to protect it from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track visitors across other websites. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, we do not change our practices in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

Apart from the service providers described above, we do not allow other parties to collect personal information about your online activities through our website.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us at info@longreach.aero. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and in limited circumstances permitted by law we may refuse access, in which case we will explain why.

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and give you access to it;
  • correct inaccurate personal data;
  • delete personal data you have provided or that we hold about you;
  • provide a copy of your personal data in a portable format; and
  • stop processing your personal data for targeted advertising, sale or profiling. We do not do any of these things.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days, and if you remain dissatisfied you may contact the Delaware Department of Justice. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
